Fewer leads charge in soccer win

CORNER BROOK  Pat Fewer and Tyler Lavers booted home two goals apiece to lead Monarchs Gold to a 5-4 victory over the Curling Rangers in Corner Brook men’s indoor soccer play Sunday night.

Thomas Luther scored the other goal for the Monarchs Gold in the Corner Brook Molson Men’s Indoor Soccer League at the Pepsi Studio.

Tyler Gallant and Lyle Griffin had two goals apiece for the opposing side.

The other league contest saw Stephenville out a 5-4 victory over Monarchs Black with Greg Keats, Tim Groom, Andrew Bettie and Eric Flynn dent the twine.

Jeff Young, Mark Fitzpatrick and Brad Roberts scored for the Monarchs Black squad.

League action resumes Wednesday night with the Curling Rangers tangling with the Masters at 7:30 p.m. and Tactics battling Monarchs Gold 8:30 p.m. at the Pepsi Studio.
