Veitch's Physiotherapy Diane Noseworthy, centre, plays the ball up the middle watched by Shamrocks Jen Solo during their game at the Wellington Street Sports Complex Monday.

Some second-half magic paved the way for a win Monday for Veitch’s in action from the Corner Brook Molson Women’s Soccer League.

Janine-Callahan Gillis booted home three goals, while Brook Wiseman added another in the second half to propel the club to a 5-2 win over the Shamrocks in a match played at the Wellington Street Sports Complex.

After Taylor Hamlyn opened the scoring for the shamrocks in the 12th minute, Diane Noseworthy replied in the 35th minute to send the clubs to the half knotted 1-1.

Karen Pottie bulged the twine in the 5th minute to put the Shamrocks ahead again before Callahan-Gillis caught fire with markers in the 56th and 69th minute.

Wiseman’s strike came in the 76th minute and gave Veitch’s a commanding two-goal bulge before Callahan-Gillis completed the hat trick in the 90th minute.
