Three goals in a six-minute span helped propel the Steers Insurance Curling Rangers to a victory against the West Side Monarchs at George (Daddy) Dawe Memorial Pitch on Monday night.
Lyle Griffin (2), Shawn Neary and Brad Burton provided the offence for the Rangers.
Chris Grant and Chris Bulget did the damage for the Monarchs.
The game was just 11 minutes old when Griffin put the Rangers up 1-0, but the Monarchs fought back to tie it in the 25th on a goal by Grant.
Bulget put the Monarchs up by one in the 42nd minute, sending them into the half with the advantage.
The second half didn’t start so well for the Monarchs, however, as Griffin tied the game in the 53rd minute.
Burton’s goal followed in the 55th, then Neary struck in the 59th as the Rangers took full control of the match.

Health and Performance Hawks 4, Sorrento Tactics FC 3
Clarence Bennett bulged the twine twice, while Kent Edwards and Nick Park also scored as the Hawks edged the Tactics in a battle of first place versus last place.
Robert Wheeler, Steve Huxter and Jordan Murrin supplied the offence for the Tactics.
The Hawks improved to 5-1-2 on the year, while the Rangers leapfrogged the Monarchs back into second place at 3-1-4. The Monarchs and Investors Group Under-18s are both at 3-3-2. Clancy’s FC is 1-2-0 so far, with the Tactics rounding out the standings at 0-5-2.
