Investors Group Under-18s striker Ryan Dawe scored the first goal of his hat trick in the opening three minutes of Monday night’s game against the Sorrento Tactics FC.
The other two game in the final five minutes of the contest, lifting his team to a 3-2 triumph in Corner Brook Molson Senior Men’s Soccer League action at Wellington Street Sports Complex.
Adam Anderson and Lance Ereaut supplied the offence for the losing side.
After Dawe scored at the three-minute mark of the contest, the score remained unchanged until the 36th minute, when Ereaut evened the game 1-1.
The second half saw Anderson bury one in the 65th to give the Tactics the lead.
But with five minutes to go, they couldn’t fend off the attack of Dawe and the Under-18s. Dawe scored rapid-fire in the 85th and 88th minutes to leave the Tactics stunned.
At 7-2-2, the Health and Performance Hawks are in top spot in the standings, followed by the 5-2-4 Steers Insurance Curling Rangers.
The Under-18s are in third at 5-4-2, ahead of the West Side Monarchs and their record of 4-4-2.
Clancy’s FC check in at the five-spot with a record of 1-2-0, while the Tactics fall to 0-8-2 on the year.
