Nick Delaney scored the final two goals of the game Wednesday to pull the West Side Monarchs to a 3-3 draw against the Health and Performance Hawks at Ambrose O’Reilly Memorial Field.

Jeff Young also struck for the Monarchs in the Corner Brook Molson Senior Men’s Soccer League matchup.

The Hawks’ offence came from Ryan Harnett, Ian Skinner and an own goal charged against Monarchs’ Mark Fitzpatrick.

The own goal came first, in the 15th minute of the game, to put the Hawks up by one.

It wasn’t until the second half, in the 49th minute, that Young’s goal knotted the game back up.

Then Harnett and Skinner both scored, in the 55th and 59th respectively, to give the Hawks the 3-1 edge.

But goals from Delaney in the 62nd and 75th secured the tie for the gold and black.

In the other league game on Wednesday night, the Steers Insurance Curling Rangers and Sorrento Tactics FC played to a 0-0 tie.

Zack Taylor was perfect in goal for the Rangers, while Evan Fequet turned aside everything he faced at the other end.
