It wasn’t even close at Wellington Street Sports Complex on Wednesday night, as the Under-18s trampled Veitch’s Physio 7-0 in action from the Corner Brook Women’s Soccer League.
Felicia Park had three goals for the victors, while Carley Tanner scored twice. Jade Regular and Genna Noseworthy added single markers.
Noseworthy’s goal came first, in the third minute, before Park added her first goal of the evening in the fourth minute.
Tanner struck in the seventh to really put the physio girls behind the eight-ball, but they managed to hold off the attack of the Under-18s for the rest of the half.
Park scored in the 55th minute however, to increase the lead to 4-0, before Tanner knocked in her second of the night in the 68th.
Park completed her hat trick in the 82nd minute, then Regular capped it in the 87th.

Michaela Alexander notched all three goals for the winning side in the third, 25th and 39th minutes.
Katie Osmond scored in the sixth for the Shamrocks.
The Under-18s lead the league with an 11-0-1 record, ahead of the Island Orthotics Curling Rangers’ mark of 10-1-1. The physio girls fall to 4-7-1 on the year, while the Shamrocks drop to 4-8-0. Clancy’s move to 3-4-1, while the Shoppers West Hawks are 0-12-0.
