About 75 Kinsmen from 14 communities in western and central Newfoundland and Labrador were in Corner Brook for an annual spring conference this past weekend.
This was the first meeting for Zone E, which was recently formed when Zone 7, which represents western Newfoundland and Labrador, and Zone 5, which represents central Newfoundland, merged.
The merger is part of a larger trend of zones coming together so their clubs may operate more efficiently, although efforts are being made to get more people to join the community service club.
