Time for Al Pittman

Kyran Pittman shares a poem with the audience from her father, Al Pittman's, book “Thirty-for-Sixty” called “This Side of Heaven” during the “Time for Al Pittman” event held in Corner Brook Thursday June 28, 2012. A plaque was unveiled and a monument on the White House lawn in recognition of the contributions of the late poet and playwright.

    He was indeed a great poet and storyteller (and prof). This location offers more visibility and my lead to a whole new group of readers!

      I heard that this man was a great poet and storyteller and the monument was a great idea but why there in the middle of the lawn in West Street. I think it would serve better up at the colleges or even the park where ppl sit and read poetry. I think it would be appreciated in a better spot. Just Saying .
