Two government employees escape dangerous crash

The driver lost control of the pickup truck as it approached a sharp turn in Route 440 on the north shore of the Bay of Islands near the town’s Heritage Trail hiking trail. A trail of debris was left from the beginning of a guide rail, stretching nearly 100 metres through a clump of trees and down into the shallow valley leading to a nearby brook.
