StartupNL is coming to Corner Brook and is looking for founders, entrepreneurs, startups and business development groups to help expand and connect its entrepreneurial focus across the island portion of the province.

The launch of StartupNL — Corner Brook, a grassroots entrepreneurial community, will take place on June 9 from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Navigate Entrepreneurship Centre, AS 2001, at Grenfell Campus, Memorial University of Newfoundland.

StartupNL is a not-for-profit entity focused on providing events and activities to founders, entrepreneurs, startups and business development professionals.

Its goal is to help startups build their business by providing tools and resources they need at the very early stages.

The Corner Brook branch is being spearheaded by local entrepreneurs.

It comes after a year of talks between StartupNL and people in the community.

Membership in Startup-NL is free and open to experienced entrepreneurs and new entrants.

Currently more than 250 individuals take advantage of what organization has to offer.

StartupNL uses the Meetup platform as its main point of contact. Through it members share knowledge, provide advice, and help find investment as well as the resources a business requires.
