The New Bay Road Trauma Recovery Centre would be constructed on 19.32 hectares of land located off New Bay Road, roughly 6.5 kilometres north of Wooddale Farms near Grand Falls-Windsor, according to an environmental assessment bulletin from the Department of Municipal Affairs and Environment on Tuesday.
The development involves the construction of the trauma recovery facility, accessory buildings, a network of walking trails and a new access road.
The proponent is aiming to provide treatment in a peaceful, rural setting to trauma sufferers.
Work on the development, which was registered with the department on May 29, is scheduled to start this fall.
The deadline for public comments is July 4, and Municipal Affairs and Environment Minister’s Eddie Joyce’s decision is due by July 13.
