Small business week runs from Oct. 19-25 this year, with several events scheduled around western Newfoundland.
Don Noseworthy of Pennecon Energy will help kick off the week in Stephenville with an address during a luncheon planned for 12 p.m. Monday at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 35, which will also serve as the Chamber of Commerce’s monthly general meeting.
It was in June of 2000 that Noseworthy became a partner in Pennecon Limited and he currently holds several positions, including senior vice-president of the company’s energy division and vice-president and president positions within several other Pennecon subsidiaries.
During his address, he will present information and answer questions on Pennecon’s Stephenville operations.
Also at the luncheon, Wade Ally of Wade’s Premium Meats will be presented with a certificate on behalf of the Small Business Week committee. His product will be used in the meal at the luncheon.
The Leo Bruce Award for Entrepreneurial Excellence will also be presented at the event.
