John's Beach man wanted for alleged firearm incident turns himself in
CORNER BROOK The Western Star
Wednesday evening members of the RCMP were looking for a John’s Beach man considered to be armed and dangerous.
Thursday morning at 8 a.m. he turned himself in.
Larry Hickey, 39, was wanted on charges of uttering threats, pointing a firearm and careless use of a firearm as a result of an alleged incident in John’s Beach, a small community on the southern shore of the Bay of Islands, earlier in the day.
While some media outlets are reporting Hickey had allegedly discharged a weapon in the direction of an individual, the RCMP would not elaborate on the details of the incident which precipitated the search for Hickey.
