Cindy Davis has been appointed the new chief executive officer of the Western Regional Health Authority.

The announcement was made in a press release issued by the provincial government at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Davis’s appointment is effective June 1 and is for a five-year term.

She is currently the vice-president of patient services and chief nursing officer with the health authority and has worked in the health-care field for about 20 years.
