He’s been in custody since March 1 and is awaiting a decision by the Parole Board of Canada on whether or not his parole will be revoked.

Gould and Gerald Morrissey of Acton, Ont., were arrested on possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking charges in November 2012. A bag seized by police contained more than 945 grams of cocaine with a value of about $10,000.

Morrissey was sentenced to four years in jail in May 2016 and Gould was sentenced in October 2016.

If the parole is revoked he’ll have to serve what was left of the two-year sentence at the time of his release.

Even if he is released on parole, the Crown is opposed to him being released from custody and he’ll have to apply for a bail hearing.

Not much was said in court about the current charges, just that the alleged victim is under the age of 16.

Gould will be back in court on March 27.
