Dillon Bourgeois has had his sentencing hearing for the 2015 robbery of a gas station in Corner Brook delayed.
Bourgeois appeared in the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador in the city via videoconference on Thursday morning, at which time the court was informed that Karen Rayner was no longer representing him.
Shelley Senior has taken over his case and asked that the sentencing hearing be postponed.
The hearing is now set for Sept. 4. Bourgeois is currently serving a five-year sentence at Her Majesty’s Penitentiary in St. John’s for aggravated assault.
