The drivers of a motor vehicle and a motorcycle that were involved in an injury accident on Friday in Ship Cove have both been issued tickets.

It was about 6:45 p.m. that day when Bay St. George RCMP responded to an accident on Route 460.

The 35-year-old male driver and the 36-year-old female passenger of the motorcycle were taken to Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries and later released.

The driver of the motorcycle was issued warnings for driving without proper license or registration and given a summary offence ticket for driving without insurance. The motorcycle was impounded.

The male driver of the motor vehicle and the two male passengers, all 21 years old, reported no injuries but the driver of that vehicle was issued a summary offence ticket for failing to yield when making a left hand turn.
