A cabin located on Big Shoal Road in Robinsons was completely destroyed in a fire reported to police on Wednesday evening but was deemed not suspicious.

It was about 7:45 p.m. that Bay St. George RCMP received the report of the fire with St. George's Fire Department attending the scene but the structure was destroyed on their arrival.

Cpl. John Butler of the Bay St. George RCMP said there were no occupants in the cabin at the time of the fire but some painters had been working there earlier. No injuries were reported.

He said police didn’t have a property loss estimate on the cabin.
