Robert Charles Park, a 34-year-old Flat Bay man, was released from custody on strict conditions after appearing in Stephenville Provincial Court today charged with uttering threats and other charges.

Bay St. George RCMP received a report about 10 a.m. on Monday of theft from the back of a truck parked at Camp 180 Road in Jeffrey’s. The theft, which is under investigation, was believed to have taken place sometime during the weekend.

Then at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, police received a report of threats made against an employee of the Department of Transportation and Works, also in the area of Camp 180 Road.

As a result of the afternoon report Park was arrested and charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, resisting or obstructing a peace officer, two counts of mischief relating to property under $5,000; one of failure to comply with a probation order and another of failure to comply with a condition of an undertaking.
