UPDATED WITH NEW INFORMATION: Rotating power outages continue

CORNER BROOK  Parts of Corner Brook are without power now as rotating outages continue across the province.

The power went out on the west side streets of Country Road, Popular Road, Lind's Road, Farmdale Road, Valley Road, upper Caribou Road, Atlantic Avenue, Happy Valley Road and Greenings Hill at 2 p.m. Newfoundland Power is reporting that power should be restored by 3 p.m.

However, it will be 3:30 p.m. before power is restored to Herald Avenue, Commercial Street, Broadway, Main Street and Mount Bernard Avenue.

Outside the city, outages are also in affect in Cormack and Reidville, at the Deer Lake Airport, on Old Bonne Bay Road in Deer Lake, in the area of Bonne Bay Pond and on the Viking Trail. Those areas are expected to be restored by 3:30 p.m.

 

 

CORNER BROOK Areas of the west coast continue to experience power outages as Newfoundland Power and Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro attempt to deal with demands on the province’s power system.

Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro’s website is reporting that outages will now take place in Bide Arm, Englee and Roddickton from 2:30 to 3 p.m. That will be followed with outages in Birchy Head, Glenburnie, Woody Point, Winterhouse Brook, Trout River, Rocky Harbour, Norris Point, Neddies Harbour and Wiltondale from 3 to 3:30 p.m.

Newfoundland Power is currently not reporting any outages for the west coast of the province.

CORNER BROOK Areas of the west coast continue to experience power outages as Newfoundland Power and Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro attempt to deal with demands on the province’s power system.

Right now in the Humber Valley area the Newfoundland Power website is reporting outages in Boom Siding, Pasadena and South Brook. The outages, which started at 10:45 a.m. are expected to last until noon.

The company is also reporting outages on St. Stephen Street, West Street and Gallant Street in Stephenville. Power went out there at 11:25 a.m. and is not expected back until 12:30 p.m.

Meanwhile, Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro’s website is reporting outages in Blue Cove, Black Duck Cove, Bird Cove, Brig Bay, Pond Cove, Pigeon Cove and Forrestor’s Point. These outages are scheduled to last until noon.

It is also reporting that outages are scheduled to start at noon in Anchor Point, Bear Cove and Deadman’s Cove. These outages are expected to last until 12:30 p.m.

They will be followed by outages in Green Island Cove, Lower Cove, Green Island Brook, Eddies Cove, Flowers Cove, Savage Cove, Shoal Cove East, Sandy Cove, Nameless Cove and Pines Cove. These half hour outages are scheduled to end at 1 p.m.
