The Corner Brook Fire Department responded in full force to an alarm call at MacAvery's Bar on West Street this morning.

Three fire trucks lined the busy downtown business street as firefighters entered the building where the pub is located. There proved to be no cause for alarm, and the crew quickly exited the premises and cleared the street.
