Corner Brook man arrested for shoplifting

A 30-year-old man from Corner Brook was held in custody after police responded to a shoplifting complaint at around noon Thursday.

According to the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary, a man had left the business on O’Connell Drive with numerous items he had not paid for.

The man was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000, assault and breaching a court order. He was expected to make an appearance in provincial court in Corner Brook Friday.
