Bay St. George RCMP members are investigating two separate incidents of damage to vehicles, but don’t believe they’re related.

There was extensive damage to a pick-up parked on West Street in Stephenville, which Const. Ryan Meko said police believe was targeted and are investigating a suspect.

He said there were tires flattened on the truck, windows smashed and dents in the body of the vehicle. The incident was reported at 4 a.m. today and occurred sometime through the night.

The other was reported on Thursday morning, where a car parked on St. Clare Avenue in Stephenville had its rear window smashed.

Meko said this incident is believed to have occurred overnight on Wednesday and as of this morning police had no suspect.
