Tourists robbed while visiting Corner Brook

Tourists visiting Newfoundland had cash, medication and personal identification stolen from their vehicle at a Corner Brook hotel last week, reports police.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is asking for public assistance regarding the theft.

Between the evening hours of Thursday and the morning of Friday last week, an undisclosed quantity of cash and prescription medication were stolen from a sport utility vehicle parked at the Glynmill Inn located on Cobb Lane. Several pieces of personal identification, hand crafted wood carvings and a case of alcoholic beverages were also reported missing.

The victims were visitors to the province, and the RNC is appealing to the public for their assistance in retrieving these items. The investigation is continuing, and anyone with information can contact the RNC at 637-4100 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
