Impaired driver charged in Corner Brook Thursday afternoon

A man has been charged with drunk driving after he was stopped by police on Cobb Lane in Corner Brook in the middle of the afternoon Thursday.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary conducted the traffic stop at 3:15 p.m.

The 22-year-old driver was charged with impaired driving and with operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol level exceeding 80 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood. He was issued a seven-day driving suspension and released to appear in provincial court on the charges Sept. 23.
