Motorcycle driver still in hospital

The driver of this motorcycle is still in hospital being treated for serious, non-life threatening injuries sustained in a collision with a vehicle on Monday.

The Corner Brook Royal Newfoundland Constabulary say an 18-year-old driver of a motorcycle involved in a collision with a vehicle in the city on Monday evening remains in hospital today being treated for serious, non-life threatening injuries.

The motorcycle the male teen from Mount Moriah was driving sustained extensive damages in the collision which took place at about 5 p.m. at the intersection of Wellington Street and Mount Bernard Avenue.

Besides the RNC, the Corner Brook Fire Department and Western Health paramedics responded to the scene.

The matter is still under investigation and police anticipate that charges will be laid in relation to it under the Highway Traffic Act.
