The South Shore Bay Fest in Humber Arm South continued today with events for children in the afternoon and another rock concert for bigger kids later tonight.
Dozens of kids were out in force to take part in the variety of games and activities set up for them at the recreational facility in Benoit’s Cove Saturday afternoon.
On tap for later Saturday evening will be live performances by the St. John’s band Janet Cull and Friends from 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., followed by Hot Rocks, a The Rolling Stones tribute band, who take the stage from 11 p.m. to 2 p.m.
For anyone who can’t make it to the show, they can listen in to a live audio broadcast of the concerts on Bay of Islands Radio at www.boir.ca.
Bay Fest continues Sunday with Culture Shock, with comedy skits, at 1 p.m., the Ramblin’ Rovers at 2:30 p.m. and Steel Dog at 6 p.m. The closing ceremonies are slated for 9 p.m. and fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
Keegan Park, 5, makes a big splash as he drops into the pool of water at the bottom of the slide set up as part of Humber Arm South Kids Day during the South Shore Bay Fest in Benoit's Cove Saturday afternoon.
