Corner Brook woman ticketed in accident with motorcycle

The driver of this motorcycle is still in hospital being treated for serious, non-life threatening injuries sustained in a collision with a vehicle on Monday.

A 26-year-old Corner Brook woman has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act and ticketed for failing to obey a stop sign after the vehicle she was driving struck a motorcycle in the city on Aug. 11.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Wellington Street and Mount Bernard Avenue at about 5 p.m.

The 18-year-old male driver of the motorcycle received non-life threatening injuries in the accident. The Mount Moriah resident’s motorcycle was extensively damaged in the collision.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary issued the summary offence ticket to the woman on Tuesday.
