Two 14-year-old boys were arrested an charged with criminal offences at a residence on Cossitt Place late Thursday night.
According to the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary, patrol officers and members of the Criminal Investigation Division responded to a 911 call at around 11:30 p.m.
The caller reported there was a disturbance occurring in the home.
One of the teenagers was arrested and charged with common assault and breaching a youth court order he was subject to. He was released to appear in court at a later date.
The second teenage boy was arrested and charged for assault with a weapon. He was held in police custody and is expected to appear before a judge in youth court Friday.
The two youth were both residents of the home to which police responded. The RNC said in its overnight report that the two were the only ones involved in the disturbance and were both known to one another.
One of the boys received what police said appeared to be a minor injury to his face.
