Taxi driver treated for injuries following White’s Road moose accident

The driver of a taxi that hit a moose on White’s Road (Route 460) on Thursday evening was taken to Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville for injuries police said were not serious.

His female passenger also attended the hospital but she decided not to wait to see medical staff.

The accident was reported to the Bay St. George RCMP at 7:16 p.m., who attended the scene along with personnel from wildlife.

The moose was put down at the scene of the accident.
