The anxious moments began when she found out that WestJet had put him on the wrong flight and Cooper ended up in Hamilton.
To make matters even worse, a staff member at the airport let Cooper out for a pee and he took off.
She immediately contact WestJet and demanded they cover the cost of flying her and her roommate to Hamilton to look for Cooper because she didn’t think she would be found unless she was on the ground.
WestJet quickly responded by booking flights and taking care of hotel and meal expenses for the duration of the search.
“He’s more than a pet to me. It was the worst day of my life,” she said.
