A 22-year-old Stephenville man charged with four counts of assault, one of uttering threats and one of choking to overcome is scheduled to appear in weekend and statutory holiday court today.
A prepared release from the Bay St. George RCMP said it was at about 8 p.m. on Sunday they responded to a report that a woman had been assaulted at a residence on Cornwall Heights in Stephenville.
As a result of an investigation, the man was charged and kept in custody for today’s court appearance.
