Brig Bay man enters guilty pleas to some charges against him in Corner Brook

A Brig Bay man arrested for allegedly causing a drunken disturbance in Corner Brook last week has entered guilty pleas to some of the charges against him.

Jason Simeon Genge, 37, of will be sentenced Aug. 29 for a charge of assault and two breaches of probation.

He still has a number of other outstanding charges, including an assault and three more court order violations, that will also be called that day.

Genge, who was granted bail last Friday, had his matters called in provincial court in Corner Brook Wednesday. Two charges related to impaired driving were withdrawn after guilty pleas were entered.
