Despite the calendar stating today is the first day of spring, it didn’t feel much like it in Stephenville and area as shovels and scrapers had to be used yet again.

A snowfall through the night even got the town plows out on the streets to clear them with temperatures at about minus two degrees, according to Environment Canada.

The forecast is not showing for it to warm up much as the rest of the week is showing plus two degrees right up to Friday in Stephenville with snow in the forecast.

Looks like it will be a little while yet before its time to break out the planting tools.
