When Pitcher attended court in Stephenville on Wednesday, Judge Catherine Allan-Westby of Corner Brook set over the matter via teleconference until the next court date.

Police allege Pitcher, while wearing gloves, a bandana over his face and carrying a knife, entered the Newfoundland and Labrador Credit Union on Main Street and went in so far, but for some reason decided to leave.

Police received a call from the Credit Union manager at 2:13 p.m, but the man had already left the premises.

Pitcher was arrested at a residence in Stephenville shortly after and taken into custody.

He has been charged with being disguised with intent to commit an offence, two counts of failure to comply with a probation order and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
