Charged with armed robbery, Wrathall back in court Feb. 27

Justin Ralph Wrathall, the 35-year-old man arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a Stephenville gas station late Jan. 3, has his next court appearance set for Feb. 27.

He had a court appearance on Monday to enter a plea; however it was set over to the February date for plea.

At approximately 11:45 p.m. on Jan. 3, police responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Ultramar Gas Bar on Main Street in Stephenville.

A man wearing a balaclava ski mask entered the Ultramar and said he had a knife, and demanded money, cigarettes and beer, and then fled on foot with those items. There were no injuries as a result of the incident.

Wrathall is charged with committing robbery and being disguised with intent.

He was released from custody on strict conditions on Jan. 12.
