Derek Joseph Paul, a 30-year-old Kippens man arrested and charged with three counts of theft and three of breaching probation conditions, is expected back in court on Jan. 29.

The charges came following an investigation by the Bay St. George RCMP after responding to a report of theft from Ben’s Pharmacy on Main Street in Stephenville at about 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday.

He is alleged to also have stolen from other stores.

Paul appeared in court on Thursday morning and was released under a number of conditions, including that he keep the peace and be of good behaviour and stay away from Dominion Market, WalMart and Ben’s Pharmacy in Stephenville.
