Colin Wheeler’s trial on charges of assault, assault with a weapon and two counts of mischief started in the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador in Corner Brook last Monday and was to end last Thursday, however, it was extended to last Friday and then two more days were added to the schedule for this week.
Wheeler, who is representing himself, testified on his own behalf on Tuesday and that was followed by cross-examination by the Crown.
The trial is scheduled to continue today.
The charges were laid following an incident at a Benoit’s Cove home, where he had been living, in October 2017.
