The city turned down a request to set up a digital sign in the city on which to sell third-party advertising last year and, shortly thereafter, stopped selling advertising on its own digital civic centre sign.
The decision to stop selling third-party advertising on the civic centre sign was rescinded in April as the city said it would develop new regulations for third-party digital signage advertising.
Those new regulations were adopted and approved at the public city council meeting held this past Monday.
The new regulations outline the allowable zones, maximum size and spacing of these sorts of signs.
