There are few details available about an apparent computer hack at Corner Brook Regional High School earlier this week.
Upon looking into reports there had been some sort of security compromise involving a computer system at the school Wednesday, principal Vaughn Granter did confirm Thursday for the The Western Star that there was an incident.
Granter said he did not know any details of the alleged breach, let alone have any permission from the Newfoundland and Labrador English School District to make any comment about what had happened.
Granter did say the school district was investigating it and said he had no knowledge of whether or not the police were involved in the investigation.
The Newfoundland and Labrador English School District did not make anyone available for an interview Thursday and, in an emailed statement, simply said it is aware of and is investigating an information technology incident at the high school in Corner Brook.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary never returned a request for information about any police involvement.
