“I feel fabulous about this win.”
She made the comments after her mayoral win in the municipal election on Tuesday. Brake Patten took her seat with 430 votes to the 283 collected by incumbent Mayor Paul Noseworthy for a span of 147.
Brake Patten was quick to point out the first call she received after her win was from Noseworthy, which she appreciated.
“I have a fabulous council,” she said of the councillors, who include: incumbents John Dawson and Leon Benoit, along with newcomers Tim Alexander, Shawn Boyd, Wayne Howlett and Heather Shears.
Brake Patten said she has lots of plans for the town, especially in the areas of planning, development, support for seniors and the environment.
“I want Kippens to be the place that has something for everybody, from young families to seniors and retirees,” she said.
