Dillon Bourgeois’ lawyer requested a pre-sentence report be completed before the Corner Brook man is sentenced for his part in the 2015 robbery of a gas station in the city.
Bourgeois was convicted of the robbery following a trial in the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador last month.
The matter was set over to Monday for the purpose of setting date for sentencing and Bourgeois’ lawyer, Karen Rayner, made the request when she appeared before Justice George Murphy via teleconference.
Murphy set the sentencing hearing to May 24.
Murphy convicted Bourgeois of the robbery at the Esso on Main Street after accepting the Crown’s position that he was a party to the offence.
The actual robbery was carried out by Ashley Park. Park was sentenced to 42 months in jail for the robbery and other offences in October 2015.
