The first was reported from Coast Clothing on Main Street at 5:28 p.m. Thursday, and the second at Danny’s Bake Shop at 6:25 a.m. Friday.

The store clerks were not injured in either incident, police said.

Codi Park-Tighe, manager of Coast Clothing, would not comment Friday afternoon and was waiting for the police to complete the investigation into the incident.

The manager of Danny’s Bake Shop could not be reached for comment Friday as she was off work.

In a prepared release, police said in both incidents a lone male entered the businesses and used a knife to commit the robberies. There were no physical injuries and cash was taken both times.

The suspect is described as a man, in his early twenties and approximately five foot, nine inches in height, wearing a dark hoodie and had a scarf covering his face.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Bay St. George RCMP at 643-2119.
