Four days, Tuesday to Friday this week, had been set aside for his trial but in court on Tuesday he plead guilty, resulting in the case not having to go to trial due to the change of plea.

He has been charged with arson and a charge of breaking and entering and committing an indictable offence and has a court date set for the afternoon of Jan. 3 for facts and sentencing.

Cormier is not in custody and wasn’t in custody before attending court on Tuesday.

While he has an application in for removal of counsel or record, that request was withdrawn in court and Fred Stagg remains as his lawyer.
