Kaden Rodrigues of the Corner Brook Barons goes the other way and drives a base hit to right field to help spark his team to a 6-0, second-inning lead over the Pasadena Pirates in mosquito division action at the Mary Tavenor Memorial Baseball Tournament at Little Jubilee Field Friday afternoon.

A total of 28 teams in mosquito, peewee and bantam age groups — including all-girls teams — from all across Newfoundland and Labrador will play in their respective divisions at four venues throughout the weekend.

Games will be played at Jubilee Field, Little Jubilee Field, Fred Basha Memorial Park and Ambrose O'Reilly Pitch.

The tournament is held in memory of the late Mary Tavenor, an avid baseball fan who rarely missed a game at Jubilee Field.
