A mistake in the initial printing of court documents at first said charges were first degree. That was corrected shortly after.

Bragg is in provincial court in Atlantic Place this morning for his first appearance in court.

The accused, who the RNC says was known to Head, was arrested without incident Friday afternoon outside his home in St. John’s.

A family member yelled after Bragg made his appearance: “I hope you see her face every time you blink you piece of shit.”

Some members of Head’s family spoke to reporters after Bragg’s appearance.

Victoria head’s brother, Billy Jo Head, told the media, “I’m just happy that they got someone in custody. Hopefully justice is going to be served. I hope there’s no chance of bail.”

His next court appearance will be on Jan. 11.

Head’s body was found on Nov. 11 near O’Brien's Farm on Mount Scio.
