Anyone who like to take advantage of the low traffic on Tuesdays at Marble Mountain will be out of luck this coming season.

The ski resort’s management announced Monday that, due to increasing operating costs and low attendance on weekdays, the hill will close on Tuesdays during the 2018-19 winter season to help mitigate costs.

According to the Marble Mountain Development Corporation, a review of skier day visits indicates that Tuesday has the lowest attendance at Marble Mountain.

While this decision may be disappointing to some, the corporation says it provides a minimal impact on its operation days and guests.

Marble Mountain will begin selling season passes for the 2018-19 winter season Oct. 1. Season passes can be purchased at the early bird rate for the entire month of October.

The resort’s annual open house will take place on Oct. 27.
