Michael Nicholle, a 38-year-old Dartmouth, N.S. man who was arrested and charged with resisting arrest, mischief, causing a disturbance and failing to comply with court orders has been released from custody.

The arrest occurred after an incident at about 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday when Bay St. George RCMP responded to a call in Stephenville from a DRL bus driver seeking assistance with an intoxicated passenger.

Nicholle was released from custody when he appeared in Stephenville Provincial Court on Wednesday afternoon on an undertaking with conditions that include: keep the peace and be of good behaviour, reside at his address in Nova Scotia, do not consume alcohol and provide a breath sample when called upon to do so.

The man’s next court date is set for Jan. 8.
