There’ll soon be a new place to go to have coffee, a sandwich, a treat and a full breakfast in Pasadena.
Jim Colbourne is preparing to open a Robin’s Donuts franchise on Main Street.
“It’s bringing something totally new to Pasadena.”
He chose Pasadena because of the lack of similar offerings in the community.
It took a year and half of looking to find a suitable location and work is underway to turn the former veterinary office at 42 Main St. into a Robin’s restaurant.
The location will have a drive-thru window and inside, there is seating for 30 people.
The location will offer a full breakfast menu, something Colbourne said is new for Robin’s.
The restaurant is scheduled to open in November and is already getting a positive reaction around town.
Colbourne, who is from Deer Lake, said owning his own business is something he’s always wanted to do.
With Robin’s starting to take off in the province, he decided to look into acquiring a franchise.
“It was a good opportunity to get in now,” he said.
Having tried all that’s offered at Robin’s, Colbourne was pleased with what he sampled and believes it is a product the people of Pasadena will enjoy.
