The Royal Canadian Mounted Police says the incident serves as a good reminder for people to be aware of their surroundings.
Sgt. Lori Canning of the Corner Brook RCMP detachment said the plow operator did not see the woman in whiteout conditions and the woman did not know the plow was near.
Canning said the woman sustained a minor injury when she was nudged with the plow blade, but there will be no charges, as the incident was weather-related.
Canning suggests people keep an eye out when outside, because of the different noises from various machinery being operated. She noted high snowbanks also make it difficult to know that someone might be close by.
